Seasons | Salem-Portland Family Storytelling Photographers

Seasons is a monthly post with a group of five photographers from around the United States.

Follow Antonieta Hernandez-Esis to her post for the month of February after you see mine.

The bicycle is a curious vehicle.  Its passenger is its engine. - John Howard

Today was a big day.  We ventured to the park to ride a bike.  He just handed down his old bike to his sister...he even has a red bike when this one is too small.  The big thing about this bike is that it has pedals and no training wheels.  "Mom, don't let go.  Hold onto the handle bars" he said.  He wasn't sure of his ability.  He was a little timid and a little cautious.  On the way to the park I held on.

We got there.  There were some wobbles but never a fall.

"Mom, are you hanging on?"

"Yep" I said.  But, I really had let go sixty seconds ago.  I was just by his side.

He soon realized he could do "u-turns, just like cars" and "loops around Dad".

He rode the bike home all by himself.

Life is like riding a bicycle.  In order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.  - Albert Einstein.

Thank you for visiting and looking at my work.  I am a family storytelling photographer serving the Salem and Portland areas.  I prefer to shoot in a documentary style and do my best work observing my surroundings.  My passion is for telling family stories on location and at clients homes.  I also love to document my family life in a creative way and have recently started a new project before my third child arrives in May.  If you have any session ideas or would like to send me an email, I would love to hear from you.
