Seasons is a monthly post with four other photographers from around the United States. This is what May feels like at my house. After you are done head on over to see Lauren's post to see what May feels like for her.
We are a little behind this month for posting. All of us have been busy and with the holiday weekend we are just getting to our post for the month. It is still a special post for me. Mostly because it is my last post before we are a family of five. Any day (hopefully) our little boy will be joining us. It is also exciting to be learning how to shoot film through Embrace the Grain. These images were shot this month on my first roll of film (Kodak Tri-X 400) during week one of the workshop as we played outside together. I look forward to learning film as I navigate being a mom of three and sharing more image during this time. I am thankful to be slowing down for the summer playing in the backyard, hanging out in our swimsuits, having backyard BBQ's, and just spending time together as a family.
Thank you for visiting and looking at my work. I am a family storytelling photographer serving the Salem and Portland areas. I prefer to shoot in a documentary style and do my best work observing my surroundings. My passion is for telling family stories on location and at clients homes. I also love to document my family life in a creative way and have recently started a new project before my third child arrives in May. Recently I have started exploring film and am excited to share this journey soon. If you have any session ideas or would like to send me an email, I would love to hear from you.
